Lesson 3

1) Self Evaluation. I wouldn't start the course if somehow I don't believe I have the necessary basic qualifications to exercise the duty of a Chaplain. Be faithful, have a good character, and sound in doctrines are the basic skills, but patience and empathy are necessary too to qualify the person who wants to be a Chaplain. Training given by voluntary work should polish and give purpose to those skills.

2) Chaplaincy in Spiritism. Spiritism is a philosophy, not a religion, and there is no "administrative structure" like in Catholicism or Protestantism. The service provided by a Chaplain can, and should, be delivered by all who see themselves fit to do it.
